Mind, body and spirit healing is what holistic health is about. Therefore, I would like to make you aware of a fabulous online meditation offering that is going on right now from Oprah and Deepak Chopra. Access their 21 day meditation series for a very gentle, easy way to start meditating (it’s not scary or mystical). I’m in the 6th day of my Chirothin Food Plan and I feel GGGreat!!! Thinking, breathing, digestion all bodily functions are heightened. No more morning joint aches, especially in the low back. It’s good to know the difference of how my body can feel, when it’s functioning optimally, without clogging food interference/inflammation. I’ve eliminated gluten, sugar, and dairy from my diet. What’s left is lean protein, veggies, and fruit eaten in limited quantities along with plenty of water and a proprietary amino acid formulation, which curbs the appetite and moderates the blood sugar and get’s my body burning fat instead of muscle.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. This revolutionary plan will be available to the public in 2014.

Recently, I presented a wellness/t’ai chi class to about 20 realtor associates at Lila Delman Realty, RI. It was great fun for all. The idea sprang from a discussion about stress management Originally, I focused on the buyer/seller stresses, but many realtors said-” What about me? I’m stressed during the buy/sell transaction.” So in keeping with “Lila Cares”, we had a little stress break for part of the Delman Team.
If you have never seen a pro tennis tournament, or just would like to experience a part of Newport Architecture,Culture, and Sport in a relaxed setting and classy venue, then come to the matches from 7/8-7/14. You don’t have to be a tennis player to enjoy the action. I’ve gone for over 10 years and have always enjoyed being there. Oftentimes, I’ve volunteered to play Old Fashioned Tennis. I’ve also had the opportunity to provide Chiropractic Care to some of the pros.
At a wonderful banquet at the OceanCliff Resort in Newport, I was elected Vice President of the 90 member Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island. In the coming year, we will be focused on patient choice and physician equality in keeping with the coming changes mandated by Obama Care. There is much work still to be done. Every political/legal discussion in RI centers around reducing healthcare costs, increasing outcomes, and reducing drug dependency. When you look at most of the studies done comparing Chiropractic to Medical Care, these desired goals are met utilizing Chiropractic Care as the treatment of choice especially with neuro-musculoskeletal problems.
Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day should also honor those who have pushed for peace in our fractured world. I know it’s quite idealistic to talk of peace in a world that’s seems to be always on the brink of war, but I really do think that what the people of the world want is PEACE. What I’d like to see is the leaders and their families get on the battlefield. How long would our wars last then? While I honor those who have fought for this country, I also honor those visionaries who have had a peaceful plan. Leaders such as Martin Luther King, and Mahatma Ghandi wanted peaceful change. Peace begins with each one of us, when we are more loving, forgiving, and accepting. LOVE heals the person, the community, the country , and the world.
If you are a small to medium sized business owner or HR person, you should be concerned with the health and wellness of your employees. It can be argued that your employees are your most valuable asset. Small businesses are especially vulnerable, when a key team member is out with illness/injury. If you’d like a cost effective way to say to your employees “I care about you”, then you can have me conduct wellness evaluations and then institute inexpensive programs to assist your employees on the road to better health.
Saturday, 4/27, was Rebuilding Together’s push to get 3 houses on Aquidneck Island remodeled. What I love about projects like this is that it brings people together from all walks of life to help someone out that they don’t know. While it’s great that we can come together around crisis such as 9/11 and the Boston Marathon, I’d like to see that community spirit carryover to our everyday existence. After thinking about the fact that in the past I got more paint on myself than the walls and lugging bricks didn’t do my back any good, I brought a table down to do bodywork on the workers at the Middletown site. It was a good day for those who participated and for those who received the benefits of the work done.
