A lesson from my website guy, Rich, re social media. It’s just like working out, you need to keep at it. You can’t expect to get results, in this case communicate your message, in a few posts. You need to keep at it. Sooo, I am back and will attempt to post at least once per month a relevant article for your better health, naturally.
Chiropractic, Chirothin, and T’ai Chi are powerful assists to maximize your health. We are helping people daily.
Chiropractic- gentle, low force Activator Methods corrections, coupled with Sacro-Occipital Technique, and muscle, and energy work. Helping people with their pain related issues, but also assisting them in their work and sports performance. Why wait to feel great!
Chirothin- lose weight and feel great. No expensive foods, no intense exercise. A simple fun program that can assist in weight loss, act as an ant-inflammatory(decrease pain) and increase your energy.
T’ai Chi- This soft form martial art is great for enhancing your health. Some of the recent comments from my students include a high school special needs student that says “I love t’ai chi because it helps to reduce my stress;”a 90 plus year old student says she is gaining balance confidence and can now stand on one leg; a former Parkinson’s student was not able to stand without her walker, initially, but after 6 weeks was able to stand and do most of the form without support.
This past Friday I took a day for myself, since I was getting “stressed out.”The day started with me teaching T’ai Chi, which I love to do. Then I traded Chiropractic Adjustments with another Chiropractor, then I had a massage, and finally I went to a Heated Yoga Class. All good! On Saturday I watched a heartbreaker of a lacrosse game in which my school, UAlbany, lost in overtime 14-13 to Notre Dame.
Seasonal allergies are no fun. While they are certainly not fully understood, they seem to be the body’s hyper-immune reaction to certain stimulus. It’s somewhat like an over-reaction to a routine situation, when you are emotionally vulnerable.
What you can do to help yourself thru the allergy season is to “make sure that your pipes are clean.” Those are the words of a wise old (93) time MD that I know. What does that mean? Eat clean and allow your body to minimize the allergic reaction and elimiante what it needs to eliminate. The Chirothin Weight Management Program is actually a great anti-inflammatory program, also. It’s basic diet that has you eating only non-inflammatory foods by eliminating sugars, dairy and most importantly flour products.
This past Sat. I went to a conference at the U. of Bridgeport with regional leaders in the Chiropractic Profession to look at ways to increase the public’s access to Chiropractic. There was a robust exchange of ideas re Obamacare, education, etc. Times are changing as people realize that drugs are not the answer. Recently, The Providence Journal ran a series on opioid misuse and abuse. Misuse and abuse of meds are now the number one cause of deaths in RI. Chiropractic is a powerful, conservative, non-drug healing art that can certainly be looked to for corrective and preventative care for those who are interested in getting at the cause of their health problem.
Spring has finally come to the northeast. Yea! Usually this means more activity-gardening,golf,biking, running, etc. Do yourself a favor and get a spring “tuneup” to get your body ready for the increased demands. Even better, think about a quarterly “tuneup” to deal with the demands of the changing seasons and hopefully prevent a breakdown.
For a healthy start to 2014, we’re offering the latest in gentle, low force Chiropractic Technique-Activator, SOT, etc. Chirothin weight loss/anti-inflammatory diet; a doctor supervised, guaranteed weight loss program. Tai chi/chi kung gentle. low force exercises and Apollo Exerciser Programs that maximize results with minimum effort.
Happy day after Thanksgivingkah! I hope everyone had a good time. My favorite holiday-family,friends,food and drink with no expectations. Once again, I remind everyone of my father’s best lecture as we head into the holiday season- Moderation. He said moderation is a key to life the day after I came home from a high school graduation party that had me somewhat hung over.
Fortunately, I have continued the principles learned in my Chirothin Diet that have enabled me to have a different food perspective. Stuff the bird, but don’t stuff me.
What are you grateful for? As I participated in today’s Oprah/Chopra Meditation and focused on what I am grateful for, the list just kept on expanding. It brought a smile to my face. There’s power in turning our attention to what we have rather than what we don’t have. This can then be used as the building block to form our inspired intention.
